Quiet studio workspace with candles curing in warm natural light

About Home Fragrance

A small candle studio

We started on a Seoul kitchen table with a melting pot, a box of soy wax, and a stubborn belief that a good candle should smell honest, burn clean, and make a room feel like somewhere you want to be.

Our story

Home Fragrance began at a market stall in Seongsu-dong in the spring of 2021. We had a dozen soy candles poured on our kitchen table the night before, a folding table, and no real plan beyond sharing scents we genuinely loved. By the end of that first weekend the table was empty, and we realised other people were looking for the same thing we were — candles made slowly, by hand, that actually smelled the way they promised.

Every candle is still poured the same way today. We blend our own fragrances from body-safe oils, pour small batches into reusable amber glass and stoneware, and cure each one for two weeks before it ever reaches a box — that patience is what gives the scent its depth. We work with a tight circle of makers: a glassblower in Gyeonggi, a ceramicist in Icheon, a beekeeper who supplies our wax. If we wouldn't burn it in our own home every night, it doesn't make the cut.

We believe in fewer, better candles. One scent you reach for every evening is worth more than a drawer full of jars you lit once and forgot. That is the quiet idea behind the whole collection, and it's the invitation we extend to you: find the scent that feels like home, and let it make ordinary evenings a little warmer.

What we stand for

Three things we won't compromise on

Poured by hand

Every candle is measured, blended, and poured in small batches by real people, not a machine. Slight variations in the wax top aren't flaws — they're the fingerprint of a candle made one at a time.

Clean & renewable

100% natural soy and beeswax, cotton wicks, and reusable glass and stoneware vessels. No paraffin, no synthetic dye, plastic-free packaging. Better for your air, and for everything downstream of it.

Made to be lit

No candle here is too precious to burn. These are made for real evenings — a long bath, a slow dinner, a quiet Sunday — and to be finished to the very bottom of the jar.
